HostedNetworkStarter gives you the possibility of creating your own Wi-Fi hotspot. If you have a wireless adapter connected to your computer, you can use this application to allow other devices to connect to your network. Setting it up is quite easy, so you can have your wireless network up and running in no time, without going through any complicated settings.

The application is absolutely free and it can be installed in under a minute, without any effort. It is compatible with Windows 7 and all later versions and it doesn't have any special requirements, apart from a wireless adapter.

HostedNetworkStarter comes with a compact user interface, which presents various statistics, as well as a list of devices that are connected to your network. You can start hosting your wireless network by clicking a button on a toolbar, after which you have to specify a network name and a password on a separate window. Finally, you only need to click a button, on the same window and your wireless hotspot will be up and running.

A few other adjustments can be made, besides specifying a network's name and password. For example, you can choose to store the network key inside a .cfg file, with or without encrypting it. A more important aspect is the fact that HostedNetworkStarter lets you choose what device to use to share your Internet connection. Another useful feature is the possibility of specifying a maximum number of devices that are allowed to connect to your network.

With HostedNetworkStarter, a few clicks is all it takes to create your own wireless hotspot.

Pros

You can create your own Wi-Fi hotspot with only a few clicks. The application lets you share your connection with a device of your choice. You can also set a maximum number of allowed devices.

Cons

There are no serious issues to mention.
